| A voice from an other planet: This is one of my favorite photos, not because of the quality of the photo (which there isn't much) but for what the photo captures. The destroyed building you see once used to be the Jaffna train station, the main transportation hub to the capital Colombo. The writings on the wall reads '1st & 2nd Class Entrance' where, a few decades ago, I romanticize, the boarding the train would have been a mixture of emotions for those leaving their homes. Now, the train service is cut out (it was burnt in the 90s), the building is bombed out, and the kid playing in the background, I later learned, belongs to a family of refugees taking shelter. | |

Cheaper than any commodity. You may have to pay Rs 1000 for a few kilograms of rice. But you can purchase a piece of land for less than Rs 1000. It is an Excellent Investment Opportunity. In 2008, you may invest Rs 10,000 on real estate in this part of Sri Lanka. In 2015, that would be worth not less than One Crore. How do you make that investment on real estate? You don't need to go over there. Do it OnLine. There are so many online websites are available to buy real estates in Sri Lanka. So, just buy it online and have it registered with the Local Governments. When you look at the value of those properties in 2015, your capital would have a tremendous growth. |
