"Success is never final, Failure is never fatal.
It's courage that counts."
-Winston Churchill.
Dr. Manmohan Singh,
The Prime Minister of India.
Sardarji means Courage.
Manmohanji, it's now your turn;
your turn to speak the truth; your turn to demonstrate your courage to the entire world. The ball is in your court.
You had demonstrated your professional skills as the successful and effective Governor of Reserve Bank of India.
Then, as the Finance Minister, you took India in the growth direction.
Now, as the Prime Minister, you have been doing a wonderful job.
You have achieved all the great things in your life.
Now is the time, you have to demonstrate your courage.
You have to have the courage to speak the Truth.
Let the world know, who made the decision?
Who took the decision to provide military support to Sri Lanka?
Did the officials take the decision without your knowledge?
Did the Defense Minister take the decision without your knowledge?
Did the cabinet take the decision collectively?
As the Prime Minister of India, you are constitutionally responsible for that decision;
and you are accountable for the outcome of that decision.
Constitutionally, Sonia can not make any executive decision.
Sonia is not the Prime Minister of India.
Sonia is not even a cabinet minister.
Sonia can not even attend the cabinet meetings;
so even if the cabinet took the decision collectively,
Sonia is not part of it;
and Sonia is not accountable for the outcome.
Who took the decision to provide military support to Sri Lanka?
We are not discussing about whether it is a Right decision or Wrong decision.
All we want to know is - Who took the decision?
You can not run away from this question. You have to answer this.
If you don't have the courage to speak the truth even at this juncture,
then 'Please resign'.
This is a serious issue; and it's a constitutional crisis.
The whole world knew that America was at War with Iraq. That decision was Right or Wrong - is a different question. But the fact is, no decision can be taken in America without the knowledge of its People. That is Effective Democracy
It was President Bush's decision.
In fact, President of United States of America
can not just make a decision and execute it.
The President needs to get the approval of the Senate.
The Executive Power is balanced by the Legislative Power.
Senate took the President decision for discussion and did approve it.
So, both the President and the Senate are responsible for the decision
and accountable for the outcome.
That is Effective Democracy. Government of the People; Government for the People. Government by the People.
Look at our state of affairs.
We don't know who made the decision!
The Prime Minister or the Cabinet or the Parliament.
In fact, it had never been taken for discussion in the Parliament.
But the truth is, India provide military support to Sri Lanka.
Who is India?
Sonia is India!
This is a serious constitutional crisis.
An individual, not part of the Executive team,
can make a serious executive decision and
can execute it without the approval of the Parliament and
without the knowledge of the People of India.
Forget about Sonia. Think about the future generations.
If you just ignore these kind of defects in the system,
there will be chaos and confusion.
India is You.
You are India.
Yes, each one of us is India.
And each one of us is responsible for India's military support to Sri Lanka and
each one of us is responsible for loss of human lives in Sri Lanka.
