    Excellent Team Building, based on strength.

    Not on weakness.

    Each one of them is a very strong leader in their region. Strong leaders bring strength to the team.

    They are prepared to go to Delhi. They will bring their expertise, skills and rich experiences from the states to Delhi. The growth is so natural. The future generations will be inspired to follow these steps. In future, the leaders may become the Mayor of a city and then the Governor of a state and then the President of United States of India.

    On the other hand, the leaders from the national parties go to the states, because they are weak. They seek support from the regional parties. The approach they have, is we are weak and you are also weak; so we need to join hands with each other; and together let us face the challenges. The association is based on mutual weaknesses.

    Most of the time the leaders of the national parties, whether they are in power or out of power, they have been hanging around in Delhi. So, they have no knowledge about the state governments and its tasks, challenges and responsibilities. Since they don't understand the functioning of the state governments, they can not respond to the people requests from the city and from the states.

    Excellent Team Building
    Another thing is: Leaders and Leadership qualities.

    Regional leaders are more prominent than their parties here. People know the name of these leaders and they may not know the name of their parties. This helps the Leaders to come out of the cage of their own party. They are relived from the burden of their party.

    During the freedom struggle, India got so many great leaders. Leaders and Leadership qualities are very important in building a strong nation. That is one of the main reason for the failure of the national parties. The national parties didn't produce any leader in the recent past. For Manmohan Singh, the credit goes to Narashima Rao. The national parties produce slaves.

    These regional leaders are free, independent and have courage to take risk. They did make mistakes and they have been learning from their mistakes too. They have proved themselves as Effective Executive. Each one of them have Executive Experience as the CEO of the state. They have been tested during crisis such as, Tsunami, Veerappan and so many

    If you notice one important thing is, they are not discussing about seat adjustments. That is not in their agenda. Seat adjustments is not going to resolve any national or people issue. They are not wasting their time on non-public issues. That is a good thing for this team and needs to be appreciated.

    In the global perspective, leaders say, Think Globally; Act Locally.

    Likewise, here it is, Think Nationally; Act Locally.

    Here, the association is not rigid. These regional leaders are all loosely coupled with one another. Then the team becomes more flexible and agile. So, naturally, the team can respond fast for any challenges.

    Another important thing is, the association is not 'Love at first sight.' They have been trying it out for the last two years. After the two years of relationship, now they all have mutual respect and understanding.

    They have one common objective. It is simple and clear. No confusion at all. When the objective is clear, it can be easily achieved.

    No National Parties.

    Incidentally, the national parties happen to be weak in all the states and totally depend on others for strength.

    When others give up on them, naturally they collapse.

    We will see, what went wrong with those national parties.

    No. Not Good. Not Good at all.

    Advani told Soniaji, I thought you did make right decisions. You have full control over your regional offices. You appoint those regional executives and they will always listen to your orders. They are loyal and sincere.

    Yes. They do. But what is the use of it. No Results. I always need to depend on external sources for strength. Our congress organization didn't grow at the regional level.

    Soniaji told Advani, I thought that your organization are doing the right thing; promoting democracy within the party; encouraging elections at the regional level; the regional leaders are naturally emerging out of the party workers.

    Yes. We did. But what is the use of it. The strong regional leaders even become stronger as Chief Minister and also have a great Executive Experience. Then they become competitive to us and challenging us. They don't listen to our requests. We need to listen to their commands.

    Look at the history. Nearly for three hundred years, the British effectively managed their empire, sitting in London. If you want to run your organization as an empire, then you could have followed their way of functioning.

    The Queen, appointed Viceroy for British India. British India included Burma on the east, Pakistan on the west, Ceylon on the south, Kashimir on the north. Viceroy had the total autonomous power to manage British India. Viceroy can take decisions and execute them. The important fact is, Viceroy didn't live in London and try to run the government in British India. Viceroy lived in Calcutta or later in Delhi.

    Look at now. Gulamnabi Azad is responsible for the Tamilnadu congress party. But he lives in Delhi. That is the mistake. If you need forty, you need to send your Viceroy to Chennai.

    When you run an empire, you need to be careful too. In fact, British India was much bigger than United Kingdom. Viceroy might have become a King of British India, after a few years of running the government. So, the Queen needed to transfer the Viceroy to Canada or Australia.

    In the case of Advani, if you are running an organization in a democratic way, you need to extend the democracy at all level. Just like those parties in America, you could have had a debate for the CEO candidate. You could have arranged a fake debate at least between Modi and Advani and out of the debate Advani emerged as the CEO candidate. The organization needs to produce Leaders and also needs to provide room for their growth to reach the top. Had it been done, perhaps Modi would have been the candidate for the CEO.

    In congress, Manmohan Singh is the Prime Minister; but Soniaji has the total control. Likewise, Advani is the Prime Minister candidate; but the BJP party leader seems to be more powerful than Advani. This kind of dual, one fake and one real, leadership is not good for any organization. Had it been Modi, the people would have seen a single, strong leader for that organization. Congress, you can not help it. Even if Ragul is the Prime Minister candidate, the dual leadership does exist. Effective organization has only one Leader, just like the human body has only one head.

    Right now, the national parties have only one alternative for survival. They need to get into an understanding to face the challenges of those regional leaders. For instance, in Tamilnadu, BJP supports Congress; and in Karnataka, Congress supports BJP.

    Anyway, all these are very effective case studies for understanding the concept of Management and the best practices of Management
  • Excellent Team Building You can take this risk, only if you are fit.

    You can jump out of the aircraft and float on the air, only if you are fit in body and mind; have no loose fat; have no burden of shouldering the party.

    Only these strong regional leaders can jump out of a safe aircraft and enjoy that risk too.

    Since the national parties are so big and carrying a lot of fat, definitely, they can not take this risk. In the national parties, the individual groups will sabotage the safe landing of others.

    Everyone in this team of regional leaders, is working for his/her own safe landing and also support others for their safe landing too.

    On the air, there is no hierarchy. All are equal.

    So far, this team has been playing a fair game. No cheating; No Chanakiya thing; No clever and cunning thing. They have been sincere and truthful.

    When they reach the ground safely, they will realize the greatness of their achievement; they will enjoy the fresh environment in Delhi; all the old rotten politics will be totally gone.

    Till this date, United States of America has been the model for Democracy.

    But from 2009, United States of India will not only be the largest democracy on Planet Earth; but will be a model for others to follow.

    Later, in the history of India, these strong regional leaders may be called as, Founding Mothers and Fathers of Modern India.

    Now, every citizen of India, can confidently feel and say, well before 2020, United States of India will become a Developed Nation.
