All the members were elected for the Legislative Branch.
But no one wants to serve in the Legislature.
All wants to move to the Executive Branch.
In this fake democracy,
both Executive Branch & Legislative Branch become unstable and weak.
Who can run an Effective Government in this condition.
In Democracy there is no King or Queen.
Then why do we need so many Ministers.
Constitution of Sri Lanka is the root cause
for all the troubles in that island.
You don't need to reinvent the wheel.
Just adopt it.
They adopt our Yoga.
Let us adopt Constitution of the United States of America.
Constitution of the United States of America
is not a perfect one without any defects.
But, it is the best on Planet Earth.
It is the Constitution for the Mankind.
The power is balanced between three branches.
Legislative Branch.
Executive Branch.
Judicial Branch.
Clear separation of power.
Each branch is Autonomous, Accountable, Performing, Effective.
Certainly, the Constitution of the United States of America,
guarantees a government for the people, of the people, by the people.
That is True Democracy.
Rest all, Fake Democracy.
Blame the British.
The British invented this fake democracy.
The British still follows this fake democracy.
Still, The Queen is the Head of the United Kingdom.
The British political system is not for the people.
The British political system is designed for the King & Queen.
The British invented and practiced this fake democracy.
Besides that they introduced this fake democracy for the rest of the world.
Had the British not invented this fake democracy,
had the British not introduced this fake democracy to the rest of the world,
The World would have been less chaotic.
Blame The British.
First look at the title, Minister.
When there is no King or Queen, why do we need Prime, Chief Ministers.
Absolutely, No Stability.
All the branches are weak, not performing.
More confusion after the Election.
Look at the President of Sri Lanka.
No Stability.
The President of Sri Lanka constantly negotiates with
the Legislative branch for his own stability.
The President of Sri Lanka constantly bribes
the Legislative branch with the Minister posts.
No one wants to be in the Legislative Branch.
Everyone wants to become a Minister and move to Executive Branch.
That is the Central Government.
Look at the Provincial Government.
Governor is not directly elected by the people.
Governor is appointed by the President.
Member of the Legislative Branch become a Chief Minister.
Chaotic & Confusion.
How can anyone run an effective government with this state of affairs?
Reform the Constitution of Sri Lanka.
All the issues will get resolved in no time.
Let the President of Sri Lanka directly elected by the people.
Let any citizen of Sri Lanka can contest for the post of the President.
Need not be a member of any political party.
Let the President of Sri Lanka be the head of the Executive Branch.
Let there be No Ministers.
Let the President of Sri Lanka have the Civil Service Officers
as the Secretary. Replace Ministers with Civil Service Officers.
Let there be a clear Separation of Power.
Let the Representatives of the People form the Legislative Branch.
No Executive power for the Legislative members.
Let the Representatives of the People - create the Law of the Land.
On the Provincial Government.
Let the Governor be elected directly by the people.
No Chief Minister. No Ministers.
All the elected representatives of the people
will create the laws in the Legislature.
On the Local Government.
Let the Mayor directly elected by the people.
Let the council members make local laws.
Delegate power and responsibility to the Local Government.
Empower the Judicial Branch.
