In the government, we have Chief Minister, Chief Secretary,
Home Secretary, Director General of Police and other Civil Services Officers.
Chief Minister is the People's Leader.
Others are Appointed Executives.
Chief Minister can not be compared with those Executives.
We need Executives to implement the government plans.
But the decision making responsibility is with the People's Leader.
People's Leader has the Leadership qualities.
People's Leader has the individuality and creativity.
People's Leader is free and independent.
People's Leader has no Masters.
People's Leader thinks about the welfare of the people.
People's Leader may make mistakes; but recover from it quickly.
People's Leader makes decisions and takes the total responsibility for the result.
People's Leader takes risk too.
Appointed Executives have no Leadership qualities.
Appointed Executives have no individuality or creativity.
Appointed Executives are slaves.
Appointed Executives can not make decisions.
Appointed Executives act on others orders.
Appointed Executives always try to save their current positions.
Nation needs Leaders.
It is not easy to get Leaders.
Leaders are born; not made.
Some time, People do not mind to pay a price for a quality leadership.
Take a look at the current leaders.
They all must have committed some mistakes in the past.
But as long as they recover from their past and not repeat
the same mistake in the future, People are ok with it.
Jothi Basu is People's Leader. But Jothi Basu got trapped
into the organization and could not emerge as a National Leader.
Had Jothi Basu been free and independent, he would have emerged
as another Netaji Subash Chandra Bose in the national and international level.
Even today, there may be some effective leaders got trapped inside
those big organizations. If they realize their own potential, they may emerge
as a great national leader. Otherwise they will get lost as Jothi Basu.
The best bet for Bengal is Mamta Banerjee.
Mamta is People's Leader.
Mamta will emerge out as a strong regional leader from Bengal.
