Twenty or thirty years ago, there were no Personal Computers.
There were Mainframe & Mini Computers.
Mainframe Computers were huge.
They needed a big football playground size room.
Those computer centers were fully air-conditioned and dust free.
Mainframe Computers were very expensive. High maintenance cost.
They were very few. So there was a big demand.
You needed to book your computer time six months in advance.
Data General was one of the popular Mini Computers.
Infosys Narayanamurthy loves DG, Data General.
This was their first investment; first bread winner for Infosys.
Around 1985, Infosys was started in a small house in Jayanagar, Bangalore.
Their first major contract was from Mico, the spark-plug company.
MICO management understood the need for business informations about
their manufacturing, marketing and finance operations.
MICO management realised the fact that to make effective decision,
they needed all those informations.
So, MICO management decided to use computers for processing.
But the labor union was against the use of computers.
Finally Mico management & labor union agreed not to buy
but to lease a computer.
MICO awarded that contract to Infosys.
Infosys installed a Data General system in the MICO premises.
Infact, it might had been much cheaper to buy than to lease.
That was the first steady income flow for Infosys from MICO.
All those expensive, big Maniframe computers are now in
the Computer History Museum.
Now Network of Personal Computers completely replaced
those Mainframes.
The Personal Computers are small desktop or laptops.
The Personal Computers are local, powerful and effective.
The Personal Computers are connected in the Network, Internet.
They have a well-defined protocol, understanding for their communications.
Each individual Personal Computer can not replace the Mainframe.
But the Network of Personal Computers do replace the old Mainframe.
Coming to the Indian Political Scenario...
Congress, BJP & Communists are those Mainframe.
Big, Ineffective & Unmanageable.
All those regional parties are those Personal Computers.
Any single Regional Party can not replace
Congress, BJP & Communists.
But if those Regional Leaders have a well-defined common goal,
well-defined strategy and form a Network, then..
That Network of Regional Leaders can & will replace
Congress, BJP & Communists.
So, Jayalalitha is not forming third or fourth front.
Jayalalitha is forming the Network of all Regional Leaders.
Their common goal is to Reform the Constitution of India.
So, Congress, BJP and Communists will be in the History Museum.
The history may say like...
The Indian National Congress was started by Allan Octavian Hume
in 1885 and ended by Sonia in 2009.
Coincidentally, both were not native Indians.
