Recently, the Director General of Police, Tamilnadu, India,
issued a statement regarding the shooting and missing of Fishermen.
This action raises several questions.
Who is the right authority to make a public statement on this issue?
Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India?
Ministry of Defence, Government of India?
Director General of Police, Tamilnadu, India?
Does this public statement from the DGP, help to resolve the issue?
Or, has it complicated the issue?
Now, Who is responsible to bring those fishermen back to India?
Do we play Politics with the life of those fishermen?
Is the External Affairs Minister of India going to talk to
the Government of Sri Lanka for the safe return of those Fishermen?
The DGP also mentioned that they have a few sri lankans in their custody.
What are we going to do with them?
If you were in that position of the DGP, Tamilnadu.
How do you manage this situation?
If missing persons were your loved ones, what will be your priority?
Do you take action for their safe return?
Or, do you issue statement and wait for the response?
Besides this issue, everyday people are coming to India from Sri Lanka.
Do we have any short term or long term plan to resolve this issue?
You need a Passport or Visa to enter India.
So, do we care, if people freely enter through Indian shores?
Can we hold Government of Sri Lanka responsible and accountable
for all those Sri Lankans landing in India as refugee?
What is the fate of those refugee?
Do they continue to live in India as refugee?
Or, do they become naturalized citizen of India.
