In Computer, we use database for the Storage and Retrieval functionality.
We store the data with Index. When we query the database with that index,
it returns the result.
Our current educational system develops the Storage and Retrieval functionality.
It is amazing that the nine year old young girl, could store all the
Tirukural with Index in her little brain. Given the index, she could retrieve
the right kural from her brain. Without any understanding, she could comfortably
store all those Tirukurals.
Our current educational system develops this skill and this is what expected from
our youngsters.
The educational system should develop logical thinking, analytical thinking,
problem solving skils. The brain should be trained not to store any thing without
understanding it.
If the nine year old girl, could take a few kurals and give her
understanding of those kurals, that is very much appreciable.
In fact, Tirukural for nine year old is too much.
Bharathiyar's kids songs is the right one for that age.
Physcially challenged:
We are taking all efforts to have the World Organizations to recognize this new word
" Physically Challenged " . The world will soon appreciate Visu and that young woman.
A young woman, in her early twenties, came to the stage with her polio affected legs.
She highlighted the issues, awareness and challenges of the handicapped persons.
She very strongly suggested to replace the word "Physically Handicapped" with
" Physically Challenged ".
We salute her mental strength.
Aeronautical Engineer:
Another young teenager girl. In her family, they may not have meal everyday.
But she is not prepared to consider the reality and give up her dream and ambition.
Her dream is not an ordinary one.
She wants to become an Aeronautical Engineer and go outer space and explore.
She wants to achieve like, the President Dr. Abdul Kalam and Kalpana Chawla.
The words are live and powerful. She is self motivated, determined and confident
in achieving her goal.
Here we would like to mention a short message.
In the village side, you may see a kind of insect known as Karu Vandu.
The Karu Vandu is of big in size. But it has two little wings.
According to aerodynamics, any thing can fly, only if its wings are proportionally
wider to its weight.
For Karu Vandu the body weight is more and the wings are very small.
So, according to aerodynamics, Karu Vandu can NOT fly at all.
But Karu Vandu does not care about aerodynamics. It does not blame God
for making its wings small. It never gives up its dream of flying. It keeps trying
with her little wings. It does fly.
Just like that, this teenager girl, did not give up. She is not willing to cut corners
in her dream and become a bus driver. Her dream is not even becoming
a pilot of an aircraft. Her goal is Space Shuttle.
Visus Arattai Arangam helped her in realizing her dream. Yes her dream comes true.
She got all the assistance and joined in the aeronautical engineering course.
We are confident that she will explore our universe.
New Political Systems:
This time Visu offered complete freedom for the participants. Without any boundaries,
the participants can think and come up with a law. That law will be implemented.
First observation is, no one said that, there is no need for any new laws and
all the current laws are the best.
Second observation is, this Arattai Arangam was in Sathiyamangalam. But still,
no one said that, Veerappan should be the top priority. People talked about
education, political reforms and other social, economic development.
So people know their priorities.
Two ladies have seriously talked about political reforms.
One lady suggested that the MLAs should live in their constituency and
the CM should test the MLAs for their knowledge about the constituency.
Another lady suggested that, MLAs should undergo 5 years training in
administration, political science etc. Immediately an other person responded
that the MLAs may willing to undergo all these training. But once the training is
over then he will start making his money.
That is true. In fact, IAS officers undergo all these training. But once they become
officer then only a very few are sincere to their duties.
Very soon, we will get the clear picture of our new political system.
Local Newspapers Responsibility:
Few years ago, Government gave land to nearly One hundred people.
Those people got the document. But the pity was, no one knew,
where were those lands. Those people approached Visu.
Visu's team then contacted the Dashildar's office and asked for details
The Dashildar immediately responded. The Dashildar showed each individual
their piece of land. All those One hundred people were happy.
The Panchayat president promised for the road, water and electricity
Another sad episode. One old man, having a bullet on his throat
for several years. We couldn't belive the way he got the bullet.
But it is a fact that, the bullet is in his throat.
Visu highlighted this issue. By this time some one would have offered
the money for the operation.
Visu brings all these social and political issues to the attention of
the public. Then immediately concerned officials come forward and
offer solutions to the problems.
Why don't the local press do this?
Instead of writing gossip and give wide coverage of
political party meetings,
the local press can highlight the issues of the public.
